Vintage Authentic Lightship Basket
Vintage Lightship/Nantucket basket purse is in very nice condition. Tightly woven. Penny on bottom of bag reads 1982. Acquired at an Estate Sale in Greenwich, CT. I can see no markings or artists signature. Sign on rowboat reads"Brant". These baskets are in high demand at auction these days and are used for home decor more than actual handbags. Although, while on Nantucket Island, they are still used as handbags by native Islanders and tourists alike.
